Padgett’s audience response keypads were used for pop quiz questions on the daytime television show, The Doctors, for an episode titled, “Know Your Body Signs!”

Using their Padgett Gadgets, audience members answered questions about chronic dark under eye circles, tangly hair, and odd tongue bumps. The panel of doctors explained that the body signals could be harmless, but at other times they could be a sign of something a lot more serious.

Audience Response System Gets Four Stars!

April 27th, 2010

Last week, Padgett Communication’s audience response technology made a special cameo at the 5th Annual Sunscreen Film Festival. Our instant wireless response system polled 400 moviegoers at a test screening of the new faith-based feature film The Troubadour.

Attendees at the screening answered several questions about the film including demographics, acting believability, and emotional response.

The film’s creators, Tim Paskert and Curtis Graham, will use the data to make informed decisions regarding additional edits to the film, as well as to provide important information to potential buyers.

“Instead of pitching our movie to potential distributors and listening to their opinions regarding if audiences would like it,” said Tim Paskert, “the data we received allowed us to talk to distributors about what the audience actually said.”

Utilizing Padgett’s audience response system for the movie screening helped create quantified rather than subjective statistics. The data will be used as a powerful tool within the sales market of the movie industry.

Padgett Communication’s innovative wireless keypads will be making a special cameo at the 5th Annual Sunscreen Film Festival, held at MUVICO Baywalk 20 Theaters in St. Petersburg on April 17, 2010. Our instant, wireless response system will be used to poll moviegoers on their opinions at a test screening of the film The Troubadour.

Produced by Hannah Rose Productions, and in conjunction with Greyhouse Films, The Troubadour tells the story of Stuart Wright, a corporate executive who reaches professional and financial success through questionable means. However, the death of his estranged father forces Wright to re-examine the values by which he lives.

Padgett’s wireless response technology will gauge the audience reaction to the film in a unique and interactive way. Attendees at the test screening will answer several questions about the film including character likability, film expectations, and audience demographics. The film’s creators, Tim Paskert (Hannah Rose Productions) and Curtis Graham (Greyhouse Films) will use the collected feedback for post-production edits, and to target the film’s marketing campaign for an official premiere.

Utilizing audience response technology for a movie screening is just another example of how Padgett’s unique and reliable wireless audience response system helps enrich an event!

The Troubadour screening is part of the 5th Annual Sunscreen Film Festival, hosted by the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Film Society. The Festival will run April 14-18, 2010. For more information about the Festival, visit www.sunscreenfilmfestival.com.
