Every rental is built around the Padgett Plus, our wireless voting keypad (Model WRS7200). It is a rugged, single-purpose device engineered for accuracy and reliability in a live room:

• Communication: 2.4 GHz frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) with 31 selectable channels and built-in Wi-Fi avoidance, so keypads talk directly to a Padgett base station and never depend on venue internet.
• Speed: a polling rate of 200 keypads per second, with multiple base stations collecting up to 15,500 keypads in about three seconds.
• Range: designed to cover an indoor area up to 650 by 650 feet, enough for the largest general sessions.
• Timing: every response is time stamped to identify the speed and sequence of each answer, which is what makes fastest-finger game formats possible.
• Identification: a secure log-in function lets you tie responses to individual participants when a session needs tracked, individual-level analysis.

Do the keypads need Wi-Fi or an app?
No. Padgett audience response keypads run on a dedicated 2.4 GHz radio channel with Wi-Fi avoidance built in. There is nothing to install and nothing that depends on the venue network.

How many keypads can you provide?
We hold roughly 14,000 keypads and regularly equip audiences from a few dozen to several thousand. Tell us your headcount and we will scale to it, backups included.

Can I buy keypads, or only rent?
Most clients rent, because a rental includes the technician who runs the system for you. If you have a recurring need, ask us and we will talk through the right arrangement.

Are the keypads suitable for a secure election?
Yes. The system captures anonymous, verifiable results and can log in individual participants when a vote needs to be tied to registered voters, which makes it well suited to elections and board votes.
