Voting Clickers, Run for You by Padgett

Rent voting clickers and a technician who runs the whole vote, so a slow, paper-bound election becomes instant, accurate results your members can trust.

Voting clickers handed out to participants at a live event

Voting clickers put a handheld device in every participant’s hand and the results on screen in seconds. Padgett Communications rents you the clickers and the person who runs them. A trained technician hands out the clickers, tests every connection, manages the vote live, and accounts for every device from checkout to return. Whether you are running a board election, polling a conference, or gathering anonymous feedback, you are never left operating unfamiliar hardware in front of a full room.

We have focused on audience response and voting, and nothing else, since 1994: more than 30 years, 10,000+ events, and roughly 14,000 keypads in inventory, so we can equip a vote of almost any size and still bring backups.

How Voting Clickers Work

The setup is simple from the audience’s side. Each person holds a clicker, a question or ballot appears on screen, and they press a key to vote. Behind the scenes, the clickers send responses over a secure, dedicated radio channel to a base station connected to the presenter’s computer, where the software tallies them instantly and can chart them live or store them for your minutes. Because the clickers run on dedicated RF rather than venue Wi-Fi, there is no app to install and nothing to drop mid-vote.

One Clicker, Built for Every Ballot

Every rental is built around the Padgett Plus, our wireless voting clicker. It is a rugged, single-purpose device that does one job reliably: register a vote and send it to the base station over a secure channel. It handles simple multiple-choice questions and more involved ballots alike, with anonymous voting, weighted and proxy voting, and login when a vote needs to tie results to specific participants. That makes it well suited to a clicker voting system for elections, bylaw votes, and officer ballots.

Comprehensive Service, Not Just Hardware

The hardware is only half of what makes an event work. The other half is having someone who has done this thousands of times running it with you. Every Padgett rental includes full on-site management:

  • Pre-event planning to match the setup to your meeting
  • Testing every clicker and connection before the doors open
  • A technician on site to distribute, run, and collect the clickers
  • Live on-screen results plus a stored record for reporting
  • Backup clickers and receivers, standard on every event

What It Costs to Rent

Pricing depends on how many clickers you need, how many days you need them, and how much on-site support your event calls for. Because every event is different, we quote each one individually and itemize it, so you see exactly what you are paying for with no hidden costs. Tell us your date, your headcount, and what you are voting on, and we will come back with a clear price.

Voting Clicker Rentals We’ve Run

A national sorority’s biennial convention

When a national sorority holds its biennial convention, thousands of delegates gather for several days of registration followed by days of voting on bylaws and leadership. For one such event, we equipped more than 3,500 voting delegates and handled the full logistics of getting a clicker into the right hands and back again. We scanned event badges and clickers by barcode so every device was accounted for from checkout to return, and our team placed equipment in advance where the signal would be strongest. The client told us distribution and collection ran noticeably faster than they were used to for an event of that size, which for a multi-day convention is the difference between sessions that start on time and sessions that don’t.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I run the clickers myself?
No. A Padgett technician distributes, runs, and collects the clickers for you on site, and accounts for every device.

How many clickers can you provide?
We hold roughly 14,000 keypads and regularly equip events from a few dozen to several thousand. Tell us your headcount and we will scale to it.

Do the clickers need Wi-Fi or an app?
No. They run on a secure, dedicated radio channel, so there is nothing to install and nothing that depends on venue internet.

Are the results anonymous and auditable?
Yes. The clickers capture anonymous, verifiable results you can report on the spot and record in your minutes.

Where do you provide voting clickers?
Across the United States and internationally. We travel to your event.
